CAPOST for Windows Offer

Beginning March 1st, we'd like to offer our current users complimentary 6 month licenses for the Windows version of CAPOST. We hope this offer will be mutually beneficial, in that it will allow our users to present results interactively to their audience on a machine other than their personal workstation, and we also hope (well, not really) to hear back about performance / stability issues and bugs. And so, to all our current users: please respond to this email to request your copy of CAPOST for Windows.

Observe EKK in Public

Representatives from EKK can be observed outside of our natural habitat on two occasions in the coming months.

A paper, written jointly by EKK and Gibbs Die Casting , titled Computer Simulation of High Pressure Die Casting of Magnesium Engine Cradle will be presented at the 2005 SAE World Congress in Detroit, Michigan on Thursday, April 14 at 8:00 am.

Shortly after that, EKK will be exhibiting our software and consulting services at the AFS CastExpo '05 in St. Louis, Missouri April 16-19th. As always, if you are interested in a free impromptu demonstration of our software, we encourage you to bring CAD of a design (preferably STL format) and we can create a mesh and perform a preliminary analysis while you wait! Come see us at booth 4137.

Also, Dr. Kim will be presenting the paper Recent Advancements on Porosity Simulation in High Pressure Die Casting at the AFS CastExpo '05 on April 17th at 8:30 am. Click here to view the abstract for this paper.

User Meeting - May 19, 2005

We have chosen May 19 as the date for this year's user meeting. On this date we invite our software users to visit us at our office in Walled Lake, Michigan to meet other users, share success stories, and make suggestions for future software improvements. We will also make our team available to any user who wishes to stay an extra day (May 18 or May 20) for one-to-one troubleshooting. We look forward to this opportunity to get together with a majority of our users to discuss our software services.

New Addition to Software Development Team

Last month we hired Sean Carmody as a Co-Op student. Sean is currently a junior at the University of Michigan, majoring in Computer Science. Given his background, he's already made a nice dent on improving functionality and usability in CAPOST and MESHID.

Did You Know?

Did you know that we have an online form where customers can report software bugs, request software features, or any other issues they have with our software and services? After submitting an entry through this form, the relevant individuals here at EKK will receive an email with all of the details you enter. The feedback form can be reached by going to http://www.ekkinc.com, clicking on the 'Customer Support' link on the left, then clicking on the 'Feedback form' link at the bottom. Use it, abuse it, like it!
